Review

This score begins magnificently with the noble main theme, which is - fortunately - heard several times on the CD, and most beautifully developed in “Welcome Aboard”. The score also contains Goldsmith's Klingon theme and some scary Borg music (which is not at all related to the one Ron Jones composed for their well-known appearance in the STTNG TV series). Most of the music reflects the exciting action that went from one climax to the next in the movie. Which means it is not an pleasant listening experience thoughout.

The score works very well in the movie. A lot of music from the film is missing in this commercial release. You may want to check out the complete score, without the rather annoying songs... Others have pointed out already that there are some digital pops on the CD.
