Review

A score with a few just gorgeous themes. These themes are played most beautifully in the tracks “Gabriel's Oboe”, “The Mission”, “Falls” (end) and “ Brothers”. They are performed by an orchestra (mainly strings, oboe, timpani) and occasionally a choir. What might be considered annoying is that the maestro sometimes chose to simply mix these themes (yes, playing them simultaneously), e.g. in “On Earth As It Is In Heaven” and “Vita Nostra”. This has a dramatic effect. There are also some suspenseful (“Penance”) and several unlistenable tracks (“Refusal”, “Asuncion”, “Alone”), rather background noises than music.
