Title Shakespeare In Love
Rating 7/10

Composer Stephen Warbeck
Awards Academy Award
Label, Year Sony Music, 1998

Review

Much has been written already about this score, considering all Academy Awards the movie has won, including score. The orchestral music has something for everyone: playful and delightful as well as mournful and lyrical movements. Appropriate for a dramatic comedy in a historical setting. The score stresses the drama more than the comedy, though. The very first track and the last tracks are excellent. A great success for the relatively new-comer Warbeck.
