Very much like Antz and
Chicken Run in style,
a fresh, innovative,
polished-sounding, and varied score performed by a large orchestra, a choir,
a guitar, a church organ and (other) electronics.
“Fairytale” is an
exquisite, beautifully arranged piece. “Tournament Speech” is
a great march/opening fanfare. “Escape From The Dragon” is an
exciting action cue, and its beginning reminds of fabulous James Bond action
music. In its second half a short motif from Jeff Wayne's “War Of The
Worlds" makes an appearance. “Helmet Hair” and
“Fiona's Secret” continue the lovely
“Fairytale”.
The second half of the CD is generally better
than the first. The ending tracks are all superb. All the tracks are quite short. There is no full development of
one of the great themes.
The sound quality is inferior to Chicken Run.
You will notice a considerable noise level for example in many tracks.
